POWERFUL
OUTCOMES
The Field School has always believed that students
learn best through experience when their learning
is authentic, meaningful, and connected to the
world around them. Accordingly, the goal is to
inspire curiosity, expand perspective, discover
more about yourself, affect change, and create
an impact in the world. By doing intentionally
structured work that’s relevant to students and the
world, students learn to be bold, empathetic, and
purposeful.
We equip students to thrive in whatever future they
imagine for themselves and the world. For that
reason, we believe that transfer—the application
of one skill to a new situation, area of study,
or problem—is the most powerful outcome of
learning.
We seek to develop core knowledge within each
discipline, as well as key skills that are relevant
across disciplines. We believe this happens when
students are challenged to drive their own learning
journey within a holistic program.
