INTERSESSION
Immersive Courses partner groups of students
with local businesses and organizations to
engage them in experiential learning. The
partnerships and dilemmas presented in
these courses build essential skills, including
critical thinking, creativity, communication, and
collaboration in developing solutions and 昀椀nal
products with community partners. Types of
courses include Wilderness Survival, Underwater
Robotics, The Field School: CSI, and much more.
Life-Changing Travel programs empower
students to step outside their comfort zones
and embrace daily challenges by utilizing
creative problem-solving skills and learning to
listen to and collaborate with others. Immersive
travel programs include cultural, historical, and
service-learning options. Travel Programs have
included traveling through the South in “The Civil
Rights Journey” or traveling to France in “Tracing
French Culture and History.”
